We are seeking a highly driven Business Development Associate to join our team. This role will focus on identifying and pursuing business opportunities for the company, with a particular emphasis on tech
product and service sales. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in tech sales, a deep
understanding of business development principles, and a passion for delivering exceptional client
solutions.

Reporting to: Senior Manager, Business Development

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Sales & Business Development
• Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities within the tech and consulting space.
• Execute agreed-upon sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
• Develop and deliver persuasive sales pitches, presentations, and proposals for tech products and
consulting services tailored to client needs.
• Actively support preparation and submission of tenders, RFPs, and business proposals across
sectors.
• Attend and contribute to client meetings alongside senior team members, providing tech-specific
insights and recommendations.
2. Client Relationship Management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring high levels of
client satisfaction.
• Act as a key point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring queries are resolved efficiently and
solutions delivered effectively.
• Conduct client presentations and demos, with a focus on communicating the value proposition of
tech-based solutions.
• Support client onboarding and after-sale follow-ups to enhance retention and upselling
opportunities.
3. Market Intelligence
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis with a focus on the tech sector to inform sales
and tendering strategies.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, regulatory shifts, and emerging technologies to identify new
opportunities.
• Provide input on market entry, growth, and positioning of technology solutions.
4. Marketing & Branding
• Collaborate with the marketing team to design and implement targeted campaigns for tech and
consulting services.
• Represent the company at industry events, networking forums, trade shows, and webinars to
generate leads and increase brand visibility.
• Contribute to the development of marketing collateral, blogs, and thought leadership content as
required.

5. Product Team Collaboration
• Serve as a liaison between clients and the product development team, communicating market needs and client feedback.
• Collaborate with product managers to understand product road-maps and communicate these effectively to prospects and clients.
• Coordinate with implementation specialists during client on boarding to ensure seamless product adoption.
• Participate in bi-weekly product strategy meetings to provide a sales perspective on feature development priorities.

6. Tech Product Knowledge & Implementation
• Maintain knowledge of ACTSERV’s software suite.
• Support the creation and customizing of technical sales material and demo environments for prospect-specific use cases.
• Support clients through the implementation process, acting as an advocate and coordinator between client and technical teams.
• Support the initial client training on basic software functionality following successful sales.
• Identify and document best practices for product implementation to streamline future deployments.


7. Internal Collaboration & Project Support
• Work closely with project teams and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment between client
needs and service delivery.
• Participate in cross-functional initiatives and support the organization’s broader strategic goals

Performing other related roles, as necessary and in line with business requirements, as assigned from time to time.

Knowledge, experience and qualifications required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Marketing, or a related field.
• Any Tech-Sales Certification is an added advantage.
• Proven experience (2+ years) in business development or sales, with tech sales experience.
• Experience with software demonstrations for prospective clients.
• Understanding of SaaS (Software as a Service) and subscription business models.
• Demonstrated ability in B2B sales and consultative selling, particularly within the tech or consulting sector.
• Proficiency in CRM systems, MS Office, and digital sales tools.
• Strong skills in: communication, presentation, negotiation, organization and project management.
• Passion for technology, innovation, and delivering client-focused solutions.
